The Genesis Invitational, formerly the Los Angeles Open, is a professional men's golf tournament, part of the PGA Tour. Founded in 1926, this tournament has been played at a number of Californian golf clubs over the years. However, in 1973, it found its permanent home at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
Riviera Country Club is where Tiger Woods made his debut as a 16-year-old amateur, and the golf legend now hosts the Genesis Invitational, with proceeds going to his charity, the TGR Foundation.
Being 1 of only 5 tournaments on the PGA Tour with "invitational" status, the Genesis Invitational has a reduced, exclusive field of only 120 players (compared to 156 for standard PGA Tour events) and a larger purse up for grabs – $20 million – to attract the best.
Genesis Invitational Tickets
General admission Grounds tickets, upgraded tickets with Clubhouse access, and premium hospitality experiences – The Backlot, The Bluffs, and Greenside at 17 – are sold on a single-day basis.
Grounds and Clubhouse tickets can be bought for the specific days of your choice or as "Good Any One Day" tickets at no extra cost.
Ticket prices are subject to increase as the tournament draws near, so early booking is recommended.
