Bordeaux is a competitive city with a Top 14 rugby club, Bordeaux Bègles, and a League 1 football team, FC Girondins, who you can often see play at the Matmut Atlantique. The city is also home to lower league clubs like the JSA Bordeaux Basket, Stade Bordelais, and Bordeaux Lions.
