Five, also known as 5ive, are a British boy band from London, England. The band consists primarily of male members and is known for their contributions to the pop and dance-pop music genres. They were formed in 1997 by the same team that managed the Spice Girls. Five quickly rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as "Slam Dunk (Da Funk)", "When the Lights Go Out", and "Keep On Movin'". Their debut album, self-titled "Five", was released in 1998 and was a commercial success. They received numerous awards, including a BRIT Award for Best British Pop Act in 2000. After disbanding in 2001, they have had a number of reunions, continuing their legacy.
