Toulouse Football Club – commonly shortened simply to Toulouse – is a French professional football club based in Toulouse and currently playing in the country’s top tier Ligue 1. The club plays home games at Stadium de Toulouse.
Founded in May 1970, Toulouse – then known as Union Sportive Toulouse – grew from the remains of the former Toulouse FC which ceased to exist in 1967. The club gained promotion to the top tier in the 1980s and has had success (even winning the Coupe de France in 2022/23) and played European football since then. Toulouse is known for its impressive youth system.
