Everton are a women's professional football team based in Liverpool, England. Their home ground is Walton Hall Park.
📜 Everton Women History
Everton were founded in 1983, known then as Hoylake WFC. They soon became known as Leasowe after merging with Dolphins YC, and then Leasowe Pacific as part of a sponsorship deal.
After several years of success – including a Women's FA Cup and 5 consecutive regional league titles – the club became known as Everton Ladies in 1995, and 3 years later they won the Women's Premier League National Division (the top-flight before the Women's Super League) title for the first time in their history.
In 2010, they won the FA Cup again, the first time they'd lifted the trophy under the Everton name.
In 2019, the team changed their name from Everton Ladies to simply Everton, however the club uses Everton Women when necessary to avoid confusion with the men's team.
