The Omega European Masters is a professional men's golf tournament and one of the most prestigious events on the DP World Tour. Founded in 1923 as the Swiss Open, it has been held at Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana since 1939 and became the European Masters in 1983.
History has been made at the event on multiple occasions; in 1971, Baldovino Dassù became the first player on the European circuit to card a score of 60 over 18 holes, while in 2006 Michelle Wie became the first woman to appear on the DP World Tour when she played in the event.
