The Dukes are the football team of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They compete in the Football Championship Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the Northeast Conference.
Duquesne fielded its first football team in 1891, but the Dukes did not play continuously until 1969. As a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the team won 11 conference titles. The Dukes then moved to the Northeast Conference in 2008, where they have won a further 5 conference championships.
In 2021, Duquesne beat a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent for the first time when the team defeated Ohio University.
The Dukes play their home games at Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field, which has a capacity of 2,200.
