The Blue Devils are the football team of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the NCAA and play in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
Duke has won 17 conference titles, including 7 ACC Championships since their move to the conference in 1953. The Blue Devils struggled to achieve consistent results until David Cutcliffe was hired as head coach in 2008. The Cutcliffe era saw Duke win the Coastal Division title in 2013, a victory made even sweeter by the fact that the Blue Devils defeated arch rivals North Carolina. This was considered a breakout year for Duke's football program.
The Blue Devils play their home games at Wallace Wade Stadium. Their head coach is former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko, who was appointed for the 2022 season.
