All spectators are required to have a ticket in order to gain entry to the stadium through the electronic system.

Tickets for children aged 6 and under can be purchased at the clearing offices for just €1 – these tickets do not entitle the child to a seat, however, they can sit on an adult's lap. Children in this age bracket may not enter the standing area. In the northwest corner of the stadium, there is the REWE family block which is ideal for families and younger fans.

Discounted tickets are also available for children aged 13 and under, and teenagers aged 15-17 in specific ticket categories.

There are no discounted tickets for students and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.

There are no discounted tickets for senior citizens and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.

There are no discounted tickets for members of the military and so a full-price ticket must be purchased.

Free tickets for wheelchair users, visually impaired spectators, and the severely disabled are limited and these are only awarded via an online raffle through Dortmund's official website.

A wheelchair user or visually impaired ticket (both including an accompanying person, who must be ambulatory and at least 16 years of age) otherwise cost €14. The latter can be requested here.

Tickets for persons with a hearing impairment for seats in block 34 also cost €14 and these can be ordered by emailing tickets@bvb.de.

A severely disabled ticket for block 9 costs €14, while the ticket for the accompanying person costs €42 (a 20% surcharge applies for games against Bayern Munich or Schalke). These can be requested here.
