Denver Summit FC, often shortened to Summit FC, is a professional women’s football club based in Denver, Colorado, United States. The club competes in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the top tier of the women’s game in the country.
The team grew out of the For Denver FC grassroots movement, which campaigned for top-level women’s football in the city. Denver was officially awarded the NWSL’s 16th franchise in January 2025, and the name Denver Summit FC, chosen through a supporter vote, was unveiled later that year alongside a mountain-inspired crest reflecting Colorado’s landscape and ambition. The club is led by principal owner Rob Cohen with a diverse investment group that includes high-profile Colorado figures such as Peyton Manning and Mikaela Shiffrin.
Summit FC begins NWSL in 2026, initially staging home matches at large existing venues and at a purpose-built temporary ground in nearby Centennial before moving to a new, football-specific stadium at Santa Fe Yards in Denver, planned for 2028.
