Del Water Gap is the solo project and stage name of American musician S. Holden Jaffe. Based in Brooklyn, United States, he crafts intimate indie pop with alternative and indie rock inflections.
Jaffe began releasing music while studying at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute, evolving Del Water Gap from a rotating band into a solo vehicle. Early EPs paved the way for wider recognition with the 2020 single "Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat". He followed with the self‑titled debut album "Del Water Gap" in 2021 and the sophomore set "I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left Yet" in 2023.
In 2025 he issued a third album, "Chasing the Chimera". Across these releases he has toured internationally and collaborated widely, including work with contemporaries from the New York and Los Angeles scenes. Notable tracks include "Perfume", "Better Than I Know Myself", "All We Ever Do Is Talk", "How to Live" and "Marigolds".
