Dead & Company is an American rock band formed in 2015 in the United States. Emerging from a collaboration of surviving members of the Grateful Dead and John Mayer, the band has become known for continuing the legacy of the Grateful Dead’s iconic music. Based primarily in rock and jam, they have rekindled the spirit of the Grateful Dead while incorporating new elements and talent.
Dead & Company consists of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann, alongside John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti. They quickly gained attention for their live performances, carrying on the tradition of extended sets and eclectic concerts that the Grateful Dead was famous for.
The band has remained active since its inception, gaining a dedicated following among both old and new fans alike. Although they have not released traditional studio albums, their live recordings and performances are celebrated fixtures in the jam band scene.
