The Daytona 500 is a 500-mile NASCAR Cup Series race held at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
An annual event since 1959, the Daytona 500 is the first race of each Cup Series and the most famous of all NASCAR races. It has been called "The Great American Race" and the "Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing" in reference to its great prestige and multi-million-dollar purse.
