The Big Green is the football team of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. They compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of the NCAA and play in the Ivy League.

Early forms of American football were played on the Dartmouth campus in the 1870s, but the first official game contested by the college took place in 1881, when Dartmouth beat Amherst 1-0.
Between 1887 and 1898, Dartmouth competed in the Triangular Football League, which it co-founded along with Amherst and Williams. The Big Green won 8 conference championships during this period.
In 1956, Dartmouth played its first season as a member of the Ivy League. The Big Green has been a dominant force in the conference since then, winning its 20th conference championship in 2021.
