The Croatia Open, currently known as the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag for sponsorship reasons, is an ATP 250 tennis tournament staged in Umag, Croatia. First held in 1990 as the Yugoslav Open, the continued prevalence of this clay court tournament has helped put Umag on the map as a popular tourism hot-spot, and a beautiful backdrop for excellent men's tennis.
The inaugural tournament was won by home favourite Goran Prpić, who defeated fellow Croat and eventual Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanišević in the final. Despite Ivanišević never lifting the Croatia Open trophy himself, the event's host venue was later renamed in his honour. The only other Croatian to win in Umag is Marin Čilić, who prevailed in 2012.
