Cori "Coco" Gauff is a tennis player from the United States of America.
📜 Coco Gauff History
Gauff hails from an athletic family, and grew up idolising fellow Americans and all-time greats Venus and Serena Williams.
Gauff was a relative unknown outside of America until she reached the main draw of Wimbledon in 2019, at the age of 15. In her first round match she beat Venus Williams, in one of the most famous upsets ever at the Grand Slam. Gauff went on to reach the fourth round of the event. Williams was at the time ranked within the top-50, a position which Gauff has since comfortably risen to.
As well as her high-profile upsets on the biggest stages, Gauff has also proven herself to be a consistent performer elsewhere: she already has a couple of WTA singles titles to her name. Gauff's game is characterised by a very good serve, and excellent court coverage. As well as being a physical, athletic player, Gauff is also capable of summoning impressive mental strength too.
