Charlotte Flair (real name Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr) is an American professional wrestler. She is currently a part of WWE's SmackDown brand.
📜 Charlotte Flair History
Daughter of WWE legend Ric Flair, Charlotte Flair is a second-generation wrestling talent who made her first appearance on a professional wrestling show at the age of 14, when she joined her father on an episode of WCW Nitro. A natural athlete, Flair enjoyed a successful collegiate volleyball career, before turning her attention to professional wrestling in the early 2010s.
In 2012, Charlotte Flair signed a developmental contract with WWE, and soon joined the company's NXT brand. By 2014, Flair had become the NXT Women's Champion, which helped lead to her main roster debut in 2015 as part of a "revolution" in the women's division. Alongside fellow debutants Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, Flair would go on to form a core part of WWE programming in the late 2010s.
A highly technical wrestler, Charlotte Flair is also a charismatic performer like her father, and often portrays a cocky, ambitious character with a ruthless streak. As well as being named Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Woman of the Year and Top Female Professional Wrestler in 2016, Flair is one of WWE's Grand Slam Champions, having held the Divas Championship, Raw Women's Championship, Women's Tag Team Championship, and SmackDown Women's Championship.
In her time with WWE, Charlotte Flair has, alongside the likes of Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, helped to transform the organization, and bring women's wrestling to the forefront of its product. In 2019, Flair's match with Lynch and Ronda Rousey was the first women's bout to headline WrestleMania, and there is no doubt that Flair and her colleagues will continue to break more boundaries in years to come.
