Chance the Rapper (born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett) is a rapper and singer from Chicago, United States. Also known as Chance and Chano, he rose with the 2012 mixtape "10 Day", followed by the acclaimed "Acid Rap" (2013). Working within hip-hop and rap, he became known for releasing music independently and for his role with The Social Experiment, contributing to the collaborative album "Surf" (2015).
His mixtape "Coloring Book" (2016) became the first streaming-only release to win a Grammy, earning awards including Best Rap Album, alongside Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for the single "No Problem".
