CF Montreal is a football club playing in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.
History
The club was founded in 1992 as Impact de Montreal, although they did not play in MLS until 2012 – during the first 2 decades of their existence they played in several leagues such as the A-League, United Soccer Leagues First Division, and North American Soccer League.
Upon joining MLS, they were known as Montreal Impact prior to a rebrand in 2021.
After winning their first Canadian Championship title in 2013, the club earned qualification to the CONCACAF Champions League the following season; they would go on to reach the final, becoming the first Canadian team and only the second MLS to do so.
