Cartmel Cup Day is an exciting summer jump (National Hunt) racing fixture for thoroughbred horses and is held at Cartmel Racecourse in Cumbria, UK.
The single-day meeting offers a fantastic display of jump racing from high-class runners and riders and plenty of entertainment off the track with food, drink, fun, and fantastic facilities. Nothing quite beats the thrill of jump racing, especially in the summer months. As the racecourse opens so early and closes late in the day, Cartmel is unique in having gaps between their multi-day meetings, so there is plenty of time to take a day off and explore the beautiful Lake District before perhaps coming back to the racing for the Season Finale in just a few days time!
