First time visitors who want to explore Vancouver’s cultural highlights will be best positioned in Gastown at the heart of Central Vancouver. As the oldest part of Vancouver, it also immerses you in the city’s heritage.

Meanwhile, industrial Yaletown is the hip and modern epicentre for the city’s shopping, dining, and entertainment. It’s home to some of the city’s most stylish shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants.

Those looking for the city’s artistic side will find it in the buzzing Granville Island area. But whilst it is a hub for the city’s creative club during the day, at night it becomes the hottest place to party in Vancouver. The gay community will also find many LGBT bars in Davie Village.

One of the best things about Vancouver is the adventures that await on its doorstep. Stay in West End for easy access to Stanley Park and the city beaches, or stay in North Vancouver to be close to Capilano Park, Grouse Mountain, and the ski resorts.

The SkyTrain, a light rail operating throughout Vancouver, makes it easy to explore the city from whichever neighbourhood you decide to stay in.
