The Canada Cricket Team is a men's cricket side representing Canada in international cricket.
📜 Canada Cricket Team History
Known affectionately as the "Canucks", the Canada cricket team has a history dating back to the mid-1800s. Despite its early inception, the sport took a backseat to more popular North American games like ice hockey and basketball, but a resurgence in interest has occurred in the 21st century.
The Canadian national team gained Associate Member status of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1968. Over the years, the team has participated in multiple ICC Cricket World Cups, with their first appearance taking place in 1979.
Although Canada have not secured any major titles in top-flight international cricket, they have shown moments of promise, including a famous victory over Bangladesh in the 2003 World Cup. The Canucks have also made significant contributions to the development of the sport in the ICC Americas region, often competing in the ICC Intercontinental Cup and World Cricket League.
