Brisbane Bullets are a professional basketball team based in Brisbane, Australia, who compete in the National Basketball League (NBL).
📜 Brisbane Bullets History
Founded in 1979, the Bullets are 1 of just 2 founding members of the NBL still competing in the division to this day, alongside the Illawarra Hawks.
The Bullets tasted success relatively early on, picking up championship wins in 1985 and 1987, although they were forced to wait another 20 years for a 3rd title in 2007.
Soon after the latter, then-owner Eddy Groves was forced to sell the club due to financial difficulties in 2008, but their license was returned to the NBL after a new ownership group could not be found.
After 8 years without a team representing Brisbane in the NBL, the Bullets returned to the league in 2016.
