The Breeders’ Cup is a horse racing meeting with dirt and turf Group 1 races acting as a culmination to the Breeders’ Cup Challenge; a series of races held worldwide throughout the year in which each winner earns an automatic spot in a specified Breeders’ Cup race. The 2-day spectacle shares out $31 million in prizes.
The event was first held in 1982 as an end-of-year championship for racing in North America, but has interests from Europe and further afield. The Breeders' Cup is celebrated as a global competition attracting the most talented runners and riders from 6 continents and over 16 countries, crowning world champions in the 14 divisions that comprise the championship event.
Breeders' Cup Tickets
There are several areas to choose from at Santa Anita Park, along with a number of restaurant packages and private hospitality options that can be pre-booked. Enclosures have varying dress code restrictions, access levels, and ticket price brackets. Racegoers purchase a ticket for a full day of racing with access to a certain area within one of the following:
- Clubhouse Admission - including Premium Box, Loge (including a BBQ picnic), Silks, FrontRunner, Trackside Dining, and Apron seating, tickets for these areas will guarantee a specific seat and offer a more expansive and accessible experience with access to different areas of the venue
- Grandstand Reserved Admission - including access to reserved seating in the Grandstand on the 3rd and 4th floors and the Stretch Run Suites
- General Admission - including general admission tickets offering open seating in the Grandstand, Sirona’s (except east end - Sports Lounge), Paddock Room, and The View
