Bologna Football Club 1909 - more commonly known simply as Bologna - is an Italian professional football club playing in the country's top tier Serie A and based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna. The club plays home games at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in the south of the city.
Founded in October 1909 (hence the name) by Austrian Emilio Arnstein, the club was one of the founding members of Serie A and had great success in the 1930s. Unfortunately, Bologna's last scudetto was in 1964, and after winning 2 Coppa Italia titles in the 70s, they have struggled for consistent good form. However, they have participated in many Seria A seasons.
