Official parking is provided at the circuit, and cars can park for free if they contain at least 3 individual ticket holders. If a car contains 2 or fewer ticket holders, parking costs 10 BHD (USD $27) and can be booked in advance by calling 1745 0000. Paid parking passes must be collected from one of the following points and displayed on the vehicle windscreen:
The circuit is approximately 40 minutes away from Manama by car, and roads are well-maintained – but visitors to Bahrain should take care, as local drivers can be fast and aggressive.
Taxis and rideshare services are readily available in Bahrain, although tourists can be vulnerable to inflated fares – make sure your driver has a visible meter or agree a fare before setting off.
Taxis or rideshares typically cost around 10-15 BHD (USD $27-40) for a journey between Manama and the Sakhir circuit. The wait for a car after an event can be long, so it may be easier to book a ride in advance.
The circuit is not located in a pedestrian-friendly area, so visitors typically arrive by car or public transport.
