History
Founded in 2014, the club joined the league as an expansion team in 2017, becoming the 22nd team in MLS.
The Five Stripes wasted little time in establishing themselves as a popular and competitive team in MLS; they triumphed in the MLS Cup in just their 2nd season and have set numerous attendance records in their brief existence.
Further honours followed in 2019 in the form of their first Campeones Cup and US Open Cup titles. The franchise's home stadium is the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which they share with the Atlanta Falcons NFL side.
