As it heads into its sixth season, the tour will classify events as either Gold, Silver, or Bronze with the former attracting the highest prize money for winners.
The indoor tour packs all 26 events into just over a month, with some events taking place on the same date in different countries. The proceedings start in Paris on 24 January 2021 and finish in Clermont-Ferrand on 28 February 2021. The calendar includes the addition of Millrose Games in New York for the first time ever. The athlete with the most points at the end of the tour will be the winner and receive a wild card entry into the World Athletics Indoor Champions in Belgrade in 2022.
Each venue will be required to undergo strict Covid-19 health and safety protocols. At the current time, it has not been confirmed whether the events will be open to spectators.
