It was August 2018 when Fury last fought on home soil. A points win over Francesco Pianeta, just his 2nd fight back after an almost 3-year hiatus from the sport, in which he had to vacate the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring magazine heavyweight titles he claimed in a historic win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
Since beating Pianeta, Fury has fought 5 times – including a sensational trilogy of fights with Deontay Wilder, against whom he won the WBC and The Ring belts – but each bout was in the United States. On 23 April, he’ll make his long-awaited return to British soil by taking on compatriot Whyte in what promises to be a memorable night at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
His belts – and his unbeaten 32-0 record – will be on the line against Whyte, who beat Alexander Povetkin in his last outing in the squared-circle to regain his WBC interim title. What’s more, the pair will also be contesting a boxing-record purse of GBP £31 million, which was successfully bid by Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.
Tickets for the fight start at £62, while ringside seats are available for £2,250, and resale tickets are also up for grabs from £167. Ticket and day-return coach packages are also available from a wide range of convenient locations around the country if you want to avoid the hassle of getting to – and around – London. If you’ve got transport covered but would like to secure accommodation alongside your tickets, hotel packages that include your entry to Wembley are available from just £278 per person.
