Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner, which means the domestic cricket season has begun and a whole host of willow-wielding action awaits. While a much-anticipated Ashes tour headlines the international bill in 2023, the return of The Hundred has many fans circling August as a key month in the domestic calendar.
As the first, and only, professional 100-ball cricket tournament in the world, it didn’t take long for The Hundred to capture the imagination of cricket-lovers across the UK and beyond. After 2 thrilling editions, the competition has solidified itself as a summer staple and its growing reputation has seen it mentioned alongside the likes of the IPL and Big Bash as a top showcase of short-form cricket.

Taking place between 01–27 August 2023, this year’s Hundred is already shaping up to be a classic as Trent Rockets aim to defend their 2022 title in the men’s competition, and Oval Invincibles attempt to win the women’s competition for the third time in a row. The action gets underway at Trent Bridge on 01 August as Trent Rockets face 2022 winners Southern Brave. Of course, all sides will be dreaming of making it all the way to The Final at Lord’s on 27 August, where both the men’s and women’s winners will hoist their respective trophies at the Home of Cricket.
Following a player draft that took place in March, squads for the 2023 edition of The Hundred are now confirmed and the likes of Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Sophia Dunkley, and Alyssa Healy will all be making an appearance. “I’m really excited for the 2023 season of The Hundred,” said London Spirit captain Eoin Morgan when fixtures were confirmed. “The tournament has really come into its own over the past two years, and it’s incredible seeing it grow.”

With rosters assembled and fixtures scheduled, all that’s missing is the fans. Tickets for all games at The Hundred are on sale now, however, many matches are selling quickly and The Final is already sold out. While resale tickets are likely to become available soon for games with the highest demand, cricket fans can secure official tickets for all remaining matches today!
As has always been the case with The Hundred, a focus on fan enjoyment and family-fun means that all tickets for children aged 6–15 cost just £5, and infants 0–5 go free. For fans wanting a more premium matchday experience, exclusive hospitality options like The Hundred Club can also be found at grounds across the country.
