Rugby World Cup 2023 is taking place in venues across France between 8 September to 21 October 2023. This will be the 10th World Cup and a celebration of an incredible 200 years of rugby.
Following applications from over 100 travel agencies, 22 providers across 13 different countries have been awarded for official status to offer exclusive ticket packages for the tournament. More than 200,000 tickets have already been pre-ordered by the OTAs, a significant jump in demand compared to the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups. Based on this strong start, the organisers are confident that France 2023 is on target to reach its goal of attracting more than 600,000 foreign visitors to the event.
The selected travel agencies have pledged to provide fans with unforgettable experiences. As well as the excitement of the tournament matches, they have collaborated with local authorities to offer a range of fantastic experiences off the pitch, including activities such as cycling tours and vineyards visits.
World Rugby’s CEO said “Following a very special Japanese tournament in 2019, enthusiasm for Rugby World Cup France 2023 is exceptionally strong, and we are delighted to see so many countries expressing interest in our showcase event. Starting today, fans can start preparing for their French experience.”
Travel packages will go on sale in March 2021, following the official match calendar announcement in early 2021. Save the event in your Koobit interests to keep up with sales opening news.
