The Open Parc Lyon, or Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon, to give it its full name, is one of the newer events on the men’s tennis tour. This tournament has been part of the ATP 250 series since its inaugural edition in 2017, and has quickly become a significant and well-liked stop on the tour. This year’s Open Parc Lyon will take place between Sunday 15 – Saturday 21 May, meaning it will fulfil its usual position as a warm-up for Roland-Garros, which starts on Sunday 22 May. Like Roland-Garros, Open Parc Lyon is a clay court tournament, providing the perfect conditions for players to hone their game on the crushed brick.
The Open Parc Lyon is not merely a warm-up event, however: the players who travel to Vélodrome Georges Prévéral to take part in the tournament are often among the world’s best - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Dominic Thiem, and Stefanos Tsitsipas have all won the tournament in the past. This provides the spectators in Lyon with a raft of exciting match-ups and star-spotting opportunities, and now that tickets are on sale, you can be among the crowds on Center Court!
All tickets grant the buyer access to a reserved Center Court seat for an entire day’s play, and they are available in 3 categories: Loge tickets grant access to a VIP Box seat, Category 1 seats are those at the front of the standard seating sections, and Category 2 seats are those at the back. Prices for adults start from EUR €60 (GBP £50.03) in the Loges, EUR €30 (GBP £25.02) in Category 1 seating, and EUR €25 (GBP £20.85) in Category 2 seating. There are also discounts available for children under 12 in Category 2 seating, as well as group discounts for parties of 10 people or more, in both Category 1 and 2 seating.
