There might still be almost 5 months to go, but darts fans can start getting excited about the 2024/25 World Darts Championship after ticket information was released last week. Confirmed to start on 15 December this year, the tournament will head back to the familiar surroundings of Alexandra Palace in London, where it has been held annually since 2009. The Final will be decided on 3 January 2025, with the winner taking home around £500,000 in prize money.
The 2023/24 World Darts Championship was one of the most dramatic in recent memory, and was headlined by the rise of 16-year-old sensation Luke Littler. Ultimately, it was Luke Humphries who proved victorious, defeating Littler 7–4 in a raucous finale. Humphries will be back to defend his title in 2024/25, while Littler will be looking to go one better and become the youngest World Darts Champion in history. Other star names likely to have their say include Raymond van Barneveld, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, and Rob Cross.
Beloved by darts fans across the world, the World Darts Championship is the sport’s most prestigious tournament and a trip to “Ally Pally” for the event has become a festive tradition for many. In 2023/24, over 90,000 people enjoyed the action live, and a similar number are expected to attend in 2024/25. Last week, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) confirmed that tickets would be available on a first-come, first-served basis across 3 staggered windows:
- First Window: PDCTV Annual Members – Monday 29 July at 12:00
- Second Window: Priority Members – Tuesday 30 July at 12:00
- Third Window: General sale – Wednesday 31 July at 12:00

Due to the event’s unrivaled popularity in the darts world, World Darts Championship tickets always sell out quickly. As there is no guarantee that tickets will still be available when General Sale opens on 31 July, the best way to secure a place at Alexandra Palace is to sign up for one of the PDC’s memberships. Annual Membership is available from £49.99 and provides fans with access to the first ticket window at all PDC events. Priority Membership is free and provides access to the second ticketing window. To receive these ticketing benefits in time for the World Darts Championship 2024/25, new members must be signed up before 12:00 BST on Friday 26 July.
