The most anticipated weekend in the UK ice hockey calendar is here: tickets for the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) Playoff Finals Weekend are now on sale! Fans across the UK – and the EIHL is the only league in any sport with representation from each of the 4 constituent countries of the UK – are already gearing up for an action-packed culmination to the 2024-25 season, where the league’s top teams will battle it out for playoff glory.
The Playoff Finals Weekend, scheduled for 19-20 April 2025, will take place at the National Ice Centre in the iconic Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, a venue that has become synonymous with the sport’s thrilling climax. The event promises high-octane matches, passionate fan displays, and the crowning of this year’s playoff champions.

The 2-day event features:
- Semifinals - the top 4 teams from the playoff quarterfinals will face off on Saturday 19 April in 2 thrilling games
- 3rd vs 4th Game - a curtain-raiser on Sunday 20 April to determine the tournament’s bronze medalists from the losers of the 2 semifinals
- The Final – and finally, on Sunday, the victors of the semifinals will clash for the prestigious EIHL Playoff Trophy
Beyond the games, the weekend is a festival of hockey culture. Fans from all 10 EIHL teams converge in Nottingham, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and rivalry that is unmatched in British sports.
As in previous years, tickets are sold as weekend passes to cover all the action, and prices have been frozen from last season’s edition. A season ticket holder priority window has been open since Monday 2 December, and now the tickets are on general sale. Early bird prices (£99 for an adult ticket, and £79 for concessions) run until Friday 24 January 2025. Early purchases are advised, as demand for this marquee event is always high.
The Playoff Finals Weekend is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of the entire UK hockey community. From the interactive fan zone to special merchandise and meet-and-greet opportunities with players, the event offers something for everyone, whether you're a lifelong supporter or new to the sport.
The 4 semifinalists in 2024 were the Sheffield Steelers, Guildford Flames, Cardiff Devils, and Belfast Giants, with the Steelers triumphing 3-1 over the Giants in the final.
