There’s something special about the Cazoo Masters.
Perhaps it’s the venue. Alexandra Palace, or “Ally Pally” as it is more affectionately known, has played host to Masters snooker since 2011. The Grade II-listed building is by no means a commonplace sports venue, and the “Palace in the Park”, with its Great Hall and indoor palm trees, helps foster a unique atmosphere for competition play.
Then again, perhaps it’s the field that makes the Masters special. As an invitational tournament welcoming only the top 16 players in the world, the Masters boasts the most exclusive, high-calibre collection of competitors in snooker. As if that wasn’t enough, the tournament’s lengthy list of former winners reads like a roll call for the World Snooker Tour Hall of Fame, featuring the likes of Steve Davis, Mark Williams, and Alex “Hurricane” Higgins.
In January 2023, it will be reigning Masters champion Neil Robertson’s turn to defend his crown against all-comers in the hallowed hall of the Palace. The Australian defeated Barry Hawkins 10–4 in the final of the 2022 competition and will hope to be the first player to win back-to-back Masters titles since Ronnie O’Sullivan achieved the feat in 2017.
Of course, the best way to see all the action unfold in 2023 is to be there, and with numerous ticket options available, snooker fans are already cue-ing up to secure their place around the famous Masters table.
As a week-long event with 2 sessions scheduled for each day, Masters ticketing is fairly flexible, meaning admission can be purchased for an Afternoon Session, an Evening Session, or for a full day. Standard tickets for a single session are available from £29, while a full-day ticket begins at £45.50.
For fans wishing to get closer to the action, Premium tickets entitle you to a seat in the first 5 rows, as well as a fan radio and World Snooker Tour event programme. Premium tickets for a single session can be purchased for £73, while a full day of the premium experience can be yours for £111.50.
Finally, as a Triple Crown Series event, the Cazoo Masters is a showcase of the best snooker has to offer – from nerve-jangling, physics-defying play at the table, to showstopping luxury off it. While Mark Selby and co will surely provide the former, the Masters has the latter under control with its Luxury VIP Booth and Century Club Packages. Starting at £276 for a single session and £477 for a full day, why not treat yourself, your friends, or your snooker-loving loved ones to an opulent day of wining, dining, and watching the world’s best battle across the baize?
