In 2024, the Savannah Bananas – the world’s most famous all-singing, all-dancing exhibition baseball team – embarked on their biggest tour to date. As well as playing more than 20 games at home in Savannah, Georgia, the team hit, pitched and performed their way around stadiums from Buffalo to Las Vegas. With sell-out games at major venues like Minute Maid Park, the tour was a no-doubt home run for the Bananas – and next year is set to be even bigger.
Baseball fans with their eyes peeled will have noticed that, last week, the Savannah Bananas confirmed and released their schedule for the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour. Among the highlights are another 26 games at home in “Bananaland” (Savannah’s Grayson Stadium), as well as trips to no fewer than 18 MLB ballparks. Perhaps most exciting of all, for the very first time, the Bananas will also bring Banana Ball to 3 enormous American football stadiums, including the NFL’s Nissan Stadium in Nashville and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Unsurprisingly for an organization determined to put “fans first”, more fans than ever before will be able to see the Savannah Bananas live in 2025. It’s not just attendances increasing though – next year’s World Tour will also see the introduction of a brand new team: the Texas Tailgaters. The Tailgaters are Banana Ball’s fourth permanent team, creating a more competitive environment for the 2025 season, and setting the stage for a potential league format featuring 2 more teams in 2026.
Due to their ever-increasing popularity, the Savannah Bananas have become one of the hottest tickets in sport in recent years and securing a seat at a game can be a challenge. To give yourself the best chance of catching Banana Ball live, visit the official Savannah Bananas website and join the ticket lottery list before 1 November 2024. For the 2025 season, standard seats are priced at just $35, with a random draw for tickets taking place around 2 months before your chosen game.
