As a Grand Slam tennis tournament, the Australian Open is famed for its blockbuster matches, prestigious list of past champions, and the sky-high quality of its 2 weeks of tennis. The Australian Open (AO) is just as famous though for its sunny atmosphere – both literally and metaphorically! As well as enjoying typically glorious Australian weather, Melbourne Park, the host venue, cultivates a warm, laid-back feel which has earnt the AO the nickname the “Happy Slam”.
If this all sounds like something you want to experience first-hand, then you’re not alone – the AO is the best-attended of the 4 Grand Slams, and competition for tickets is unsurprisingly tight. With the release of hospitality packages, however, there’s now a great opportunity to grab yourself a ticket and head down-under, come the tournament’s next edition, between 17-30 January!
As well as providing a prime location seat in Rod Laver Arena, all of these hospitality packages come with exclusive and unique perks and privileges, with a package out there to suit whatever excites you most about the AO!

Some of the most immersive hospitality offerings are the Fan Walk and On Court Seating packages. The Fan Walk package gives you the chance to feel like Roger Federer or Serena Williams, as you get to enjoy the exclusive “Champions Walk” hallway the players use to make their way onto court. As well as this, you’ll be treated to a guided tour of the Arena, and some professional photographs to remember the day by. Prices start from AUD $289 (GBP £157.18) per person, per session.
The On Court Seating package, meanwhile, places you as close to the action as you can possibly be; the On Court seats live up to their name, allowing you to take in the action at court-level, only yards from the players. On top of this, you are able to access the Rod Laver Arena dressing rooms, and can also enjoy gourmet cuisine at a tournament restaurant of your choice!
There’s more exquisite food where that came from, too: this year's Australian Open has an array of fine dining packages, all created in collaboration with top chefs, and with Rod Laver Arena seats included. The Penfolds Bistro and Penfolds Restaurant packages, for example, come with a 2 or 4-course meal, and a selection of hand-picked wines which match your food perfectly. Prices start at AUD $260 (GBP £141.41) for the Bistro package, and AUD $460 (GBP £250.18) for the Restaurant package, both per person, per session.
Further dining packages include the Atrium Eatery and Bar Package, which includes prime location Rod Laver Arena seats, and a fantastic à la carte menu courtesy of Ben Shewry, one of Australia’s top chefs, and the Rockpool Bar and Grill package, which gives you access to Melbourne Park’s Centrepiece hospitality space, as well as a 3-course international menu and the customary seats in Rod Laver Arena! Prices start at AUD $260 (GBP £141.41) per person, per session for the Atrium package, and AUD $365 (GBP £198.51) per person, per session for the Rockpool package.
