The Arnold Palmer Invitational is a professional men's golf tournament contested each year at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge near Orlando, Florida. This prestigious event, which is part of the PGA Tour, can trace its roots back to the inaugural 1966 Florida Citrus Open Invitational.
In 1979, the tournament changed its name and made a permanent move to the Bay Hill Club and Lodge golf course, owned by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, and it adopted his name in 2007. Since Palmer's death in 2016, the winner receives a red cardigan sweater in memory of the 7-time major winner.
The event's most successful competitor is none other than Tiger Woods, who won it for a record 8th time in 2013, holing 3 eagles in the process.
