The Golden Lions are the football team of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). They compete in the Football Championship Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the Western Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
UAPB claims one national title from the 2012 Black College National Championship, and the Golden Lions won the SWAC championship in the same year. The school joined the SWAC in 1998 for the second time, after an earlier membership spell between 1936 and 1969.
More than 25 UAPB alumni have gone on to play in the NFL.
The Golden Lions play their home games at Simmons Bank Field.
