Public Car Parks

• Super Saturday - all vehicles left overnight must be collected by 9am the following morning. If you are planning to leave your car overnight, please inform event staff on the day and they will guide you to a designated parking area
• Race days - there is limited free parking available. Please enter off Epsom Road onto Flemington Drive
• Melbourne Cup Carnival - limited public car parking is available in the centre car park. Please enter off Smithfield Road at the Stables Drive entrance

VRC Members car parks
Members parking in the Unreserved Car Park must enter via Flemington Drive off Epsom Road.

Reserved dining car parks
Racegoers should refer to directions provided with their bookings.

A taxi rank is located near the Members Main Entrance (left of the Phar Lap Statue or drop off racegoers in Leonard Crescent via Langs Road. Enter off Epsom Road onto Flemington Drive.

Bus is a popular way to reach the racecourse because of its links to Williamstown, Footscary, and Moonee Ponds via multiple routes:

• 472 - Fisher Parade stop · 77 m (1 min) walk to Riverbank entrance
• 404 - Smithfield Road stop · 28 m (1 min) walk to Stables Drive entrance

On racedays, one of the easiest ways to reach the course is via train to Flemington Racecourse Station which is located near to the main stands. All train services are wheelchair accessible and passengers who need help boarding trains should wait on the platform near the front of the train.

Tram is also a popular way to reach the course. From the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street, catch the No. 57 West Maribyrnong tram to Flemington Drive (stop 30) which is then a 450 m (5 min) walk to the main entrance. Please note, low-floor trams do not run on Route 57 and it is therefore recommended passengers using a mobility aid should catch the train to the racecourse.
