The Almaty Open, formerly known as the Astana Open, is an ATP 250 men's tennis event held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The tournament was previously hosted in the nation's capital, Astana, and is a very recent addition to the men's professional tennis tour: the Astana Open received 2 consecutive single-year licences in 2020 and 2021, allowing players, fans, and organisers to mitigate against the numerous tournament cancellations caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, it was then announced that the Kazakh event would become a permanent fixture on the tour, and would replace the St. Petersburg Open. In 2024, the event relocated to Almaty.
Although the Almaty Open is still a relatively new tournament its few editions have already attracted a host of Kazakh talent, as well as top international players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
