AEK Athens Football Club - also known as Athletic Union of Konstantinoupolis (Ahtlitiki Énosis Kostantinoupoleos), AEK Athens, or simply AEK - is a Greek professional football team based in Athens and playing in Super League Greece. The club plays home games at OPAP Arena.
Formed in 1924 by a group of Greek refugees from Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) after the Greco-Turkish War, the club is one of the most successful in the Greek football system having won numerous titles and cups. It is, in fact, the only club to win all of the competitions - Greek Championship, Greek Cup, League Cup, and Super Cup - organised by the Hellenic Football Federation.
