Adelaide Thunderbirds are a netball team based in Adelaide, South Australia. They compete in Suncorp Super Netball.
When the team was first formed in 1997, the Thunderbirds played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy League as a founding member. They won the title in 1998 and 1999, and never dropped lower than 3rd position in any season.
In 2008, the team joined the ANZ Championship, which also included netball teams from New Zealand. The Thunderbirds contested this league for 8 years, winning 2 more premierships in 2010 and 2013.
Since 2017, the Thunderbirds have played in Suncorp Super Netball, where they placed 8th in their first 2 seasons and 7th in their third and fourth seasons. Most of their home games are played at the Netball SA Stadium, but they have also played matches at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the Adelaide Arena.
The team is coached by Tania Obst and the main colour of the Thunderbirds is pink.
