The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open is a women's professional tennis event held on outdoor hard courts at the Zayed Sports City International Tennis Centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It debuted on the WTA tennis tour in February 2023 as a WTA 500 event, kicking-off the "Middle Eastern swing" portion of the season.
Whilst tennis fans could be forgiven for thinking the event had taken place before 2023 – the one-off WTA Women's Tennis Open was hosted in Abu Dhabi in 2021, and one of the foremost exhibition events on the professional circuit, the Mubadala World Tennis Championships, has been held in the city annually since 2009 – the Abu Dhabi Open is technically separate to both tournaments.
