WizTheMc, the stage name of Sanele Sydow, is a South African-German rapper, record producer, and songwriter currently based in Toronto, Canada. Known for his distinctive fusion of hip-hop and contemporary rap, WizTheMc gained prominence with his 2020 breakout single "For a Minute," amassing significant streaming success. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1999, WizTheMc moved to Lüneburg, Germany, at the age of two, where he began nurturing his musical interests.
In 2015, he co-founded the musical collective "No Homes" in Germany, which was active for two years before disbanding. Seeking to further his musical career, Sydow relocated to Toronto in 2017, where he embarked on his solo journey. He released his first two albums, "Backin Toronto" and "Blessings in Disguise", in 2018. These were followed by his third album, "Growing Teeth", in January 2020.
WizTheMc has toured internationally, sharing the stage with prominent artists such as A$AP Rocky, Billie Eilish, and Burna Boy.
