Richmond is represented by USL League 1 team Richmond Kickers who play their home games at City Stadium and Minor League Baseball team Flying Squirrels who play their home games at The Diamond. The city is also represented by the University of Richmond men’s basketball team Richmond Spiders and Virginia Commonwealth University’s basketball team VCU Rams.

Visiting Richmond
Founded in 1737, Richmond is one of the USA’s most historic cities. Not surprisingly, it played an important role in the Revolutionary War to found the United States and the American Civil War which further solidified the empire. It is also home to the Virginia General Assembly, the oldest legislative body in the US. The city’s exceptional history is preserved in its many museums as well as its architecture from the Tudor mansions of the Fan District to the cobbled streets of Shockoe Bottom. Despite being rich in American heritage, the city is also very much ‘down with the kids’.
