Puerto Rico Sports Events
Puerto Rico has national sports teams for football, basketball, and baseball, as well as a number of regional teams. This includes the North American Soccer League team Puerto Rico FC who plays their home games at Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel. Puerto Rico also runs its own games within the Puerto Rico Soccer League and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional, which includes top teams like Leones de Ponce, Piratas de Quebradillas, and Vaqueros de Bayamon. Their home games are played at the Auditorio Juan Pachín Vicéns and Raymond Dalmau Coliseum respectively.
Visiting Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico may technically be a territory of the United States, but this culture-rich Caribbean island couldn’t be any more Latino if it tried. Its Spanish colonial Old Town, passion for dance and music, taste for Central American cuisine, and enviable sub-tropical climate all lend to its feverish Latin spirit. So while (like many Caribbean islands) Puerto Rico is the beachy paradise destination we all dream of, there is so much more to see and do than simply sunbathe. Start by walking within the walls of its historic fortresses, then climb through its mountainous rainforests before sampling its famous foods and dancing the night away in the streets.
