Due to its rural location between Lexington and Louisville as well as its ample free parking and extensive road links, driving is the most popular way to reach Keeneland.

Paved public parking is available in the Green lot near the Grandstand. At larger events, this parking area may have a fee and need to be booked in advance.
Alternatively, The Hill is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 08:00 until 60 minutes after the last race and offers spaces for tailgating. Pop-up 10x10 tents within parking space areas are permitted. Any tent larger than a 10x10 must be secured through Keeneland’s exclusive tailgating partner, RevelXP. Charcoal/wood fire open-flame cooking, open bars or kegs, balloons of any kind, inflatables, DJs or amplified sound equipment, and fire pits are all prohibited. Tables, chairs, coolers, televisions, generators, gas grills (footprint must stay out of parking/traffic lanes), and maximum size for generators is 7000-watt are all permitted.
There is bus and coach parking available at Keeneland. Please note, vehicles are not permitted to remain in this car park overnight. The Bus lot is open from 08:00 until 60 minutes after the last race on racedays. It is located in front of Barns 1-3, and is a paved lot for groups arriving via charter buses, limousines, school buses, etc. A $10 cash fee will be collected upon entering the lot. Standard vehicles are not permitted.
There is a shuttle bus service connecting the course to the car parks.
As Keeneland is in a rural location and close to the Blue Grass Airport, it is not recommended that racegoers walk to or from the course.
Louisville has a wealth of luxury hotels and private accommodations, as well as budget options. However, the city is relatively expensive to visit overall.
At Keeneland, there is a fantastic range of concessions, dining rooms, and bars offering a delicious variety of food and beverages.
Alcohol, coolers, food or beverage, grills, tents, and selfie sticks are not permitted inside the admission gates. Foldable chairs are only permitted in general areas on the first floor; they are not permitted in the Clubhouse, Paddock area, or floors 2-4.
Gates open at 11:00. Please use the entrance indicated on your ticket.
Due to capacity limitations, all tickets must be purchased in advance; no day-of onsite ticket sales.
Fans may notice additional security when entering Keeneland's admission gates. Patrons will be asked to open their coats or jackets for visual inspection, and soft checks will be performed on any bags. You may be asked to return traditional backpacks to your car.
All bags are subject to inspection at the admission gate. Traditional backpacks and book bags are not permitted. Guests may bring strollers, diaper bags, camera bags and purses/pocket books at Keeneland's discretion.
There are toilet facilities located throughout the venue.
Keeneland Association, Inc. or Keeneland Race Course hosts horse racing events at different stages of the year with a Fall Meet and a Spring Meet.
Keeneland Race Course ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the hospitality areas offering greater access around the course and dining options will be more expensive than those for General Admission without a reserved seat. Similarly, tickets may be more expensive on a bigger raceday like Travers Day than at one of the smaller fixtures. Due to the popularity of the racedays and capacity limitations, it is not possible to purchase tickets on the day. All tickets should be bought in advance.
Keeneland Race Course has several options for parking when attending a raceday offering anything from free general parking to valet parking and trackside parking, or even tailgating. Traffic around the course builds up at peak times, so early arrival is advised to avoid delays getting into the venue.
