📜 History
Originally known as Prairie Capital Convention Center, Bank of Springfield Center took on its current name in 2017. The venue, which was constructed in 1978, is capable of hosting a wide range of events, from basketball games to concerts, wrestling shows to graduation ceremonies.
Bank of Springfield Center contains more than 44,000 square feet of usable event space and is conveniently connected to the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel. Various modernization efforts over the years have helped maintain the arena's popularity, with recent updates including additional concessions areas, an upper level patio terrace, and two upper level terrace areas.
Among the most popular events the arena has hosted are a number of Illinois Fighting Illini basketball games and numerous WWE shows.
