Due to the extensive parking available at the venue and the great road links, driving is a popular way to reach the Gila River Arena. There are also good public transport connections via bus services.

🅿️ Parking

Gila River Arena parking locations open 2 hours prior to the event start time. Day of event parking is available in multiple Gila River Arena Lots including lots E, G, J, L, Yellow, Garage, or West VIP (available on an event-by-event basis). Event parking fees range from $10 - $75 depending on location
Pre-paid event parking is available and provides patrons an expedited entry and exit into lots, parking with close proximity to the arena, and guaranteed parking on-site no matter when you arrive
Cash will not be accepted at parking entrances. Gila River Arena does not permit overnight parking
Accessible parking is available first-come, first-served for guests with disabilities in Arena Lots G, J, and Garage. These spaces, including van-accessible spaces, are designed for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. Disabled Parking access requires pre-purchased parking permit or day of event fee upon entry of Arena Parking lot

Bus route 70 stops at Glendale Av & 95th Av stop which is a 644 m (8 min) walk from the Gila River Arena.

The best cafes, bars, and eateries are in Downtown’s northern districts, Evans Churchill and Roosevelt. Together they form the Arts District, distinguished by striking street art and contemporary galleries. If you stay here, be sure to look out for the epic David Bowie mural.

Alternatively, stay in Scottsdale’s Arts District, a smaller yet equally exciting place to explore your creative side. This district is just a short walk from the charming Western Streets of Old Town Scottsdale, which is packed with cool bars, restaurants, and shops.

If you can’t choose between Phoenix and Scottsdale, stay in the serene Arcadia, which sits directly in the middle, and is part of both cities. Foodies will find it hard to choose from its impeccable dining options.

Families may prefer Glendale, a big city with a small town charm that lies northwest of Phoenix. Between the historic Catlin Court shopping district and Westgate City Center, Glendale has all the shops, bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues you could want in a city — without the fast-paced rhythm.

Keen hikers and nature enthusiasts will feel at home at the foot of the mountains in South Mountain Village. The extraordinary trails through South Mountain Park and Preserve will greet you on your doorstep.

To get the full Greater Phoenix experience, hire a car to explore all of its top cities, parks, and landmarks. Those staying within Phoenix itself will be able to get around by bus and trolley (in some areas).

Desert Diamond Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Glendale, Arizona.

📜 History

Formerly the Gila River Arena, Desert Diamond Arena is best known as an ice hockey venue and was home to the NHL's Arizona Coyotes until 2022. The venue, which has also been called the Glendale Arena and Jobing.com Arena, boasts a maximum capacity of 19,000.

As well as hockey, Desert Diamond Arena also plays host to other sporting events, including professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, and indoor football. Since 2024, the venue has been home to the Indoor Football League's Arizona Rattlers.

Arena event door times may vary, but generally open 1 hour prior to the start of the event
For safety purposes, all guests entering Gila River Arena will be searched and have their belongings scanned
Typically bags are not permitted into the venue unless they are no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
For the safety and security of our guests, re-entry is prohibited during all events held at Gila River Arena

There are toilet facilities located throughout the venue on all levels.

🧑‍🦽 Disabled Facilities

Disabled toilets - all restrooms are accessible and located at each corner of each level of the arena. Family restrooms are also available at sections 109, 120, 212, and 227
Event mobility - there are elevators located throughout the venue providing access to all levels
Assistance dogs - service dogs and service dogs in training are welcomed at Gila River Arena. It is suggested to purchase tickets in a wheelchair accessible seating area to prevent blocking aisleways
Hearing loops - assistive listening devices are available to check out at the Guest Services Booth located near Section 115. These devices will amplify the public address system. AM/FM radios with bone conduction headphones are available to check out at the Guest Services Booth
